Courses
The following courses have a comprehensive content and are conducted only once every year in their fixed season based slots. These slots have been decided taking into consideration the tree flowering, bird migration and butterfly seasons. Anyone from standard 8th and above can attend these courses. The only prerequisite is an active interest in nature and willingness to study.
Certificate Course in Field Botany
The course covers Plant Identification, Habitats, Ecology & Conservation
Lecture Topics :
Evolutionary History & Diversity of plants, Morphology - Habit, Root, Stem, Leaf, Flower, Fruit & Seed -, Nomenclature, Classification, Keys to important families of flowering plants, Plant communities in different ecosystems & their adaptations, Plant Associations, Anatomy, Insect-plant interaction, Phenology, Succession, RET species & their conservation, Ethnobotany, Basic Photography and other topics.
Field Visits:
Jijamata Udyan, Sagar Upavan, SGNP Yeoor, Mangrove Watch, Dattaji Salvi Udyan and other locations.

Anyone who is interested in learning more about plants & their conservation can register, science background not mandatory.
